Great Pics for a Great Cause
As some of you may know from Facebook, a friend and fellow photographer in Frisco is in the process of starting a non-profit to connect volunteer photographers around the nation with local families that have children battling serious illness. It's an amazing cause that is so close to my heart...
Anyway, as with all things, there are some costs involved (mostly legal and such) in getting a program like this started. In an effort to help her get this program off the ground, I will be donating 100% of all session fees through the end of October to this effort.
I have several openings Monday through Friday for the next 2 weeks, so book your fall family portraits or your children's portraits now!

Sauce
For those of you who don't get down to the McKinney square much, here's yet another reason. The incredible people of Rick's Chophouse have opened a new restaurant called Sauce. Upscale, family style pizza and such... it's fantastic to say the least.
Anyway, I was down there last week to take some pics of the new place and was a little surprised to find that my shot list included an image of 2 guys tossing pizza dough... These poor guys were so patient with me telling them to stand closer and "throw the dough without getting your arms in front of your face"...
My job is never, ever dull :-)

Poor Morgan, I didn't get a chance to post a preview for her and she's been having nightmares that all the pics from our shoot last weekend were messed up somehow.... Hopefully this will ease her mind until I get the rest finished this afternoon.

Oktoberfest 5k - Team Amanda!
Mark your calendars! Saturday, September 19th, 2009 is the Addison Oktoberfest 5K and the Tom Thumb 1 Mile Fun Run, benefiting Wipe Out Kids' Cancer. I am so honored and excited to be helping out with a very special group called Team Amanda!
Those of you who frequent the blog know that Amanda and her family are good friends of my parents, children, husband and self. The Oktoberfest 5k benefits a group called Wipe Out Kids' Cancer and we are trying to get together the biggest team they've ever had! We've got some team hats and bandannas and will be offering some local packet pick-up through Amanda's mom Bonnie and myself just to make things easy on everyone. Team forms can be mailed in or returned to Bonnie or myself, so print yours off today and make a family outing of it.

Robyn and Robert
It never fails, I planned a great shoot for the rain with my big umbrella and lots of dark clouds, so the sun decided to come out at the last minute. Robyn and Robert were so easy going and fun that it didn't phase them a bit. We had so much fun, I can't wait for their wedding in a few weeks!
